Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Women’s Health Concerns

One in 5 birthing people experience a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder (PMAD). Despite available evidence-based treatment, 75% of people go untreated. As a certified perinatal mental health (PMH-C) provider, I specialize in providing affirming, trauma-informed care to people across their reproductive journeys. My goal is to help you find relief, effectively manage your symptoms, and find more meaning as you navigate this time. I support the bodily autonomy, reproductive rights, and decision-making of all child-bearing people.

“I met Dr. Dugoni when I had an unexpected diagnosis in my second pregnancy around 26 weeks. From the beginning, Dr. Dugoni was compassionate, gentle, understanding, and nonjudgmental; but most importantly so easy to talk to! With my first daughter, I had worked with a therapist postpartum; but I didn't realize that the previous therapist wasn't a perfect fit for me until I met and worked with Dr. Dugoni. Dr. Dugoni was instrumental in helping me plan, prepare, be flexible, and embrace the nature of such a stark different second pregnancy.”

What to Expect

  • During the initial appointment, we will discuss your history, reasons for seeking support, goals, and any questions you have for me.

After the initial appointment, I will use the information gathered to provide you with treatment recommendations and any relevant diagnostic information. We will discuss treatment options and collaboratively develop an individualized treatment plan targeting your goals, making sure to go at a pace that feels comfortable to you.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes and are typically weekly or bi-weekly. The duration of therapy varies from person to person. Please refer to the About section for the specific treatments I use in therapy.

  • Looking to connect with other pregnant people and new moms while also learning skills to support your mental health? I offer a 10-week, evidence-backed virtual group therapy course called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Perinatal Mental Health.

This group is for pregnant and postpartum mothers (up to 12 months postpartum) experiencing anxiety, depressive symptoms, stress, and/or difficulty coping with pregnancy and parenthood. You will learn practical coping skills that you can use immediately in your daily life to help relieve symptoms.

The group consists of 10 weekly 90-minute sessions ($75/session). Amount can be paid either in full up front or in two equal installments. To learn more, please reach out via the “Contact” page.
